Halcyon is a Community Interest Company meaning that we are committed to running the business ethically and it is not run for profit but rather, to benefit the local community.  A CIC is a type of company that is simpler to run than a charity, but is still required to have a social purpose and is not run for private advantage.  To become a CIC we have to pass a “Community Interest Test” – where a regulator decides whether we are fulfilling a social purpose.

Many children and young people experience emotional, behavioural, developmental or psychological problems at some point in their lives. This can cause distress for them and their families. Halcyon offers specialist assessment and psychological support for children and young people with a range of difficulties that are impacting on their mental health and emotional wellbeing. We work with children of all ages; from pre-school children to teens and young adults. As a company, we aim to be as child-friendly as possible.  We like to get to know each child and family and work flexibly and creatively as we believe this is the best way to engage young people and help create positive change. We aim to work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals. We also offer counselling for adults.

All Halcyon staff are guaranteed to be registered with professional organisations (e.g. HCPC, BACP, BPS) and work to quality standards in terms of supervision, insurance, data protection and safeguarding.
